== Biography ==
Antipode is the merger of Pyana Apimana and Lurella Atelier. Lurella's unique psychic abilities allowed her to connect her mind with the person whom she shares the strongest, most unbreakable bond with, and their bodies followed suit.

As a fusion of two heavily contrasting minds, Antipode's personality is a combination of theirs, while still being unique to herself as an individual.

- Lurella's stoicism + Pyana's sunny cheerfulness...
--Result in a pleasant, laid-back personality that is neither too introverted nor excessively excitable. She is also much less bashful about expressing herself than Lurella.

- Lurella's pompousness + Pyana's recklessness...

=== Fusion Mindstate ===

- The wavelengths of Lurella's and Pyana's minds typically intertwine and flowed in perfect harmony. During this state their thoughts are united and sharing one mind feels so natural that they are barely aware that they are in fact two people inhabiting a single form.

- During times of conflict between the two, these wavelengths would partially separate, increasing the awareness of both parties being separate identities.

- Normally the two are not even aware of the realm within Antipode's mind. It only becomes apparent to them during times of wavelength separation, as the two become more aware of themselves as separate beings.

- Their senses are still entirely connected to Antipode, as this mental realm is merely a projection of their united psyche, rather than their physical forms within the mind of Antipode.

- The two are still in full control of Antipode, though she may become less aware of her surroundings, effectively going into standstill, when her two halves are in a state of internal debate.

- Were the two ever to enter a heated argument, Antipode would act as if lost in thought while Pyana and Lurella try to come to an agreement.
-- If the argument becomes so severe that the two do not want to associate with each other, the fusion will be cancelled.

- If Antipode is placed in a situation that would evoke strong emotions from only one person, the wavelengths will separate and the two may interact with one another. Antipode will become lost in thought as one side struggles to calm the other. If the distressed party is completely inconsolable, the two will be ejected from the merger.

- When Antipode encounters a person that, for example, Pyana is fond of, but Lurella isn't, Pyana's personality traits will come through stronger in her, as if Pyana is taking the reigns while Lurella chooses to quietly avoid that person.

- When Pyana and Lurella are filled with immense affection for each other, they can accidentally merge. It can even happen if they both happen to be dreaming about each other while lying within arm's reach.

=== Antipode Encasement ===
The ultimate expression of Lurella and Pyana's shared power comes in the ability to encase an object in an ornate barrier of ice. The inside of the barrier than explodes in a sea of the hottest flames, while the barrier protects those on the outside from the heat and any resulting effects such as explosions or shrapnel.

=== Ethereal Ensnarement ===
Antipode is able to perform a vastly more powerful variation of the ribbon binding ability known to both of her base forms. The streams of blended red and blue color that emerge from the glow of her palms and fingers have no physical form and can pass through objects and living things. They are typically energy streams, but can be solidified. She is able to guide them at will using hand and arm gestures.

=== Strategic Separation ===
In the heat of battle, Antipode can swiftly detach herself into her base forms, each parting in opposite directions. Magically the two are both connected and would be immediately drawn back into each other. This technique is ideal for evasive maneuvers, as Pyana and Lurella are smaller than Antipode.

=== Spirit Split ===
Similar to the above, Antipode is able to produce illusions representing her base forms. These copies all share her thoughts, but their behaviors and personalities lean more toward the images they are based on. They cannot stray more than a few feet from their creator, but can interact with physical objects.

=== Trivia ===

- The reason Antipode appears to be older than Pyana or Lurella is not due to their combined ages, but because she is a reflection of their combined mental maturity. The knowledge shared between them and the balancing of counter-balancing of their flaws creates a more mature being than either Pyana or Lurella separate.

- The attire worn by Antipode represents the minds of Pyana and Lurella.
-- The dress is a combination of the tropical attire worn by Pyana's island family, and an elegant ballroom gown.
-- Her sandals are reminiscent of those worn by Greek soldiers and Egyptian royalty, blending athletic functionality with elegance.

- Pyana's unusually high body temperature is regulated by Lurella's ice affinity.

- Her name is frequently mispronounced by others, due to being a word unknown to most Fae Folk. Such names include "Antibody" and "Antipoodle".

- Rather than speak in both Lurella and Pyana's voices in unison, Antipode speaks in a single voice that sounds entirely unique to her, due to her physical form being older than that of either of her base forms.

- When Pyana and Lurella merge, their bodies temporary become light energy.
-- If too much magical energy is drained while fused, Antipode will be unable to return to her base forms until she can regain enough to convert her body into light and initiate the separation.
